We're all really excited here in the Revolve office about the arrival of Google+ which was launched yesterday. Google+ is perhaps the biggest threat to Facebook since the popularity of social netorking began in the last decade.

One of the main features of Google+ is 'Circles', where you can add your friends, family, etc to different circles/groups. Google believes that this feature will make it easier to manage your different groups and also control who sees what of your content.

Another feature we really like is 'Hangouts'. "Everyone has high-speed networks these days, but how many use group video chat?" Vic Gundotra of Google says. Hangouts will solve this problem by allowing up to ten people from a Circle all video chat at once. If you are already chatting with a friend in a Circle, all other members of that Circle will get an alert asking them to 'hang out' and join in. This could be a great way for friends living in different countries to all chat at once we think.

Of course there will be many more features to Google+. At the moment Google are testing it out with a select number of users before launching it across the board. Social networking has obviously had a huge impact on the PR industry over the last few years. We're wondering what effect Google+ will now have?

Revolve's Top Ten Festival Survival Must-Haves

Festival season is upon us! Whether you're going to Glastonbury this weekend, Oxegen in a few weeks, Electric Picnic in September or one of the many other festivals around the country this summer, we have devised a Top Ten of Festival Survival Must-Haves to see you through your festival experience.

Cath Kidston Tent
Most importantly you'll need a tent! This unique and stylish tent by Cath Kidston will make you stand out in the campsite and ensure you'll easily find your way back to it after a music-filled day.

Cath Kidston Sleeping Bag
This stylish sleeping bag, also by Cath Kidston, will keep you all wrapped up and warm and prepare you for another action packed day of your favourite bands and artists.

Cath Kidston Cagoule Raincoat
We're hoping you won't have to use it, but just to be on the safe side we recommend this Cath Kidston raincoat that folds up into a handy bag when you're not using it.

Cath Kidston Straw Hat
The sun is what we want at any festival, so to protect yourself and look stylish at the same time we suggest this great Cath Kidston straw hat. The bright, fashionable colour band will make sure you stand out from your fellow festival-goers.

Green People SPF15 and Burt's Bees SPF8 Lip Balm
Protecting your skin and lips from the sun is essential so we recommend you pack some Green People SPF15 and Burt's Bees SPF8 Lip Balm to ensure that too much sun doesn't ruin your festival fun.

AnneMarie Boland After Sun Gel
But in case you forget to use your sun factor or lip balm we suggest you throw some AnneMarie Boland After Sun Gel in your bag. The cooling gel will soothe any sunburn and make sure you'll still be up and about dancing to your favourite bands.

Pure & Clear Facial Wipes and Burt's Bees Hand Sanitizer
We all know what it's like at a festival when it comes to showering, etc. That's why we recommend you pack these two essentials. Pure & Clear Facial Wipes and Burt's Bees Hand Sanitizer will allow you wash away any dirt and have you feeling fresh and clean in no time.

Nelson's Pharmacy Milk Thistle Tincture
Finally because we know any festival includes a certain amount of overindulgence we suggest you have some Milk Thistle Tincture from Nelson's Pharmacy with you. Milk Thistle is one of the best liver regenerators and will help it recover from any festival bashing it might receive!

ASOS/Cheryl Cole Charity Auction

Wednesday tends to be the day that drags! Last weekend seems like an eternity ago and Friday feels like it will never come. To help cheer you up you might want to check out ASOS Marketplace where Cheryl Cole has set up shop. From the 13th to the 24th of this month the Cheryl Cole Foundation auction is running. Eleven dresses are available to bid on from the first day of the auction, with one new dress being added every weekday until the end of the auction. The auction of Cheryl's dresses is a 'Lowest Unique Bid' auction, which means that the lowest monetary amount not bid by anyone else (the lowest unique amount) wins the auction. You could win a piece of pop history for as low as 1p! Any funds raised for The Cheryl Cole Foundation will be used to help disadvantaged young people in the north east of England and also used across a number of different Prince's Trust projects in the region. There is only one day left of the auction so while you're wishing the next two days to go as quickly as possible check it out at https://marketplace.asos.com/cherylcolefoundation/collection. You might see one you'd like to bid on or maybe it will inspire what you're going to wear this weekend!

"Lifeguard Orangutan"

We here at Revolve really enjoyed the story of Jorong the orangutan in this morning's MetroHerald. A video appeared on the internet this week of the huge Jorong using a leaf to save a tiny moorhen chick from drowning in the water within his enclosure and then ensure that it was ok. Jorong has since moved on from Dublin Zoo but one of his keepers says he was always gentle with a lovely nature. We thought this was a nice feel-good story to help put you in a good mood for the day!
