Excitement is brewing as the 83rd Annual Academy Awards is due to take place this weekend, Sunday 27th February. The awards, most commonly known as The Oscars, will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Up for nomination are popular films such as: Black Swan, The Kings Speech, The Social Network, Inception, True Grit, The Fighter, 127 Hours and many more.
In with the best chance to win an award are "The King's Speech" which has bagged 12 nominations, "True Grit" which nabbed 10 nominations, Inception and The Social Network both walked away with 8 apiece, while "The Fighter" was awarded 7 nominations.
